The Harry Potter Series is one of the best book series we have ever read. The second book, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, begins when young Harry is spending a miserable summer with his family, the Dursleys. During a dinner party held by his uncle and aunt, Harry is met by a house-elf named Dobby. Dobby warns Harry not to return to Hogwarts, the magical school for wizards that Harry attended the previous year. Harry politely disregards the warning, and Dobby wreaks havoc in the kitchen, infuriating the Dursleys. They try to imprison Harry in his room for the rest of the summer but Harry's friend Ron Weasley comes to the rescue and takes Harry to his house until school begins.

Harry doesn't know,
but nothing can prepare him for trees that fight back, flying cars, spiders that talk and deadly warnings written in blood on the walls of the school. and Harry happily spends the rest of the summer at the Weasley home. While shopping for school supplies with the Weasleys, Harry has two unfortunate encounters. He first encounters Lockhart, one of his teachers, who demands to be in a photo shoot with Harry. Harry then encounters Lucius Malfoy, the evil father of one of Harry's enemies, who almost starts a fight with Mr. Weasley. As Harry prepares to return to Hogwarts, he finds that he and Ron are unable to enter the magically invisible train platform, so they fly the Weasley car to Hogwarts. They land messily, and both boys are given detentions. Now they are in big trouble and they need to find a way out of this. Join Harry, Ron, and Hermione is this fantasy adventure as they try to figure out the chamber of secrets.

Living without parents may seem impossible. For the orphans on Orphan Island, it ́s the complete opposite. The 9 children on Orphan Island live completely alone, only with the help of the island. It might seem like they will run out of materials, but don't worry, this island is way beyond normal.
Jinny has just seen her best friend Deen leave in the boat that comes every year and takes the elder away, being replaced by a baby. The baby then becomes the care of the new elder. Now Jinny is the new elder on the island, and she has to take care of a girl named Ess. Teaching Ess new things becomes really hard, but Jinny manages to teach her everything. She really loves the island and everything on it, especially Ess, so can she leave it when her turn on the boat comes? Read to find out! I love this book because it is very unique in its own way and it’s a lot of fun to read!

Have you ever seen or been really close to a wildfire? Sam was at a summer camp when a wildfire sparked. The camp counselors had everyone get away from the wildfire, and made them wait for the buses to arrive so they could evacuate. Sam then remembers something, his phone! He left it back at his cabin, so he sneaks back to get it, and by the time he comes out of the cabin, the wildfire has blocked his path. Sam has no option but to run backwards away from the wildfire, after all, missing the bus is better than dying in the wildfire.
From then on, Sam has to focus to survive. He has to find shelter, food, water, and a safe place from the wildfire. He finds a jeep in a shed, and uses that to get farther from the wildfire. On the way, a girl named Delphy comes running out of the forest. Together, they fight to survive the wildfire, on the move all the time. Will they survive? Read to find out! I like this book a lot because it's very adventurous.

The best series I have ever read is Amulet by Kazu Kibuishi.  Amulet is about a teenage girl named Emily Haves and her little brother, Navin Haves. They move with their mom to their deceased grandfather's house.  At their grandfather's house, they find an amulet. Once Emily puts on the amulet, she can never take it off. Now there is an evil elf king that will do anything just to get the amulet. There are currently 8 books in the series. I can’t wait for the new book to come out!
